Blackstar Diversified Enterprises collaborated with JST Power Equipment to deliver a cast coil transformer to a water pumping facility in New Orleans, LA.
The team designed, supplied, and managed the installation of a medium voltage distribution transformer for the facility that pumps water out of the City of New Orleans. As part of the hurricane preparedness program plan, we provided a critical transformer operating at 25Hz to protect the Florida Ave pumping station’s equipment. The Sewerage and Water Board engineering team chose JST Power Equipment for their quality, value, and ability to customize for this specific facility. JST provided a custom 750kVA cast coil transformer to supply various voltages needed for the facility’s distribution system. Situated in a tiny 36″ wide opening, this transformer shows the superior ability of JST to build equipment to suit customer requirements.
The partnership between BDE and JST successfully overcame supply chain challenges to deliver an on-time, perfectly fitting transformer that was installed and operating within days of arrival.
