Design, supply, installation support and management of double ended unit substations at (6) passenger station on the Dulles Silver Line. BDE LLC supplied (6) 38kV double ended unit substations consisting of (2) 2000A main medium voltage breakers, (2) 2000kVA cast coil transformers and low voltage switchgear. The substation is equipped with PLC based automatic throw-over, GE circuit breaker protection relays, Siemens multifunction meters and a SCADA fiber connection cabinet. We also provided over 100 man hours of installation and testing support to the contractor, as the owner required entire lineup needed to be (control) wired and tested by the manufacturer prior to start-up.
